English:  Six Paralympic and Olympic athletes from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have asked for political asylum, following death threats due to their open critique of Kabila.  I speak with some of the athletes.

German:  Nicht alle Länder erlauben Kritik.  In Kongo (Demokratische Republik) wird man, wenn man sich über nicht genügende Unterstützung vom Sport beschwert, abgeschlachtet.  Ich spreche mit einigen der Athleten, und erfahre Erschreckendes.

In meinen Bericht in der Sonntagsausgabe der TAZ (Sonntaz) geht es um die Frage warum Indien, ein Land das 17% der Weltbevölkerung hat nur 10 Athleten zu den Paralympics schicken konnte.

In my article in the Sonntaz, I discuss the question of India‘s paralympic participation.  India has 17% of the worlds population.  Their paralympic team of 10 looks therefore inappropriately small.  I discussed the matter with members of the Indian paralympic team.  The article is in German but don’t forget that there are ample of free internet aps that translate text.

I am interviewing the German Paralympic Sprinter Wojtec Czyz for the Tageszeitung, discussing amongst others issues with prothesis classification and equal chances at the Paralympics and that this is going to be his last Paralympics.
