English: It was not to be believed.  After a successful hosting of the Olympic and Paralympic Games which apart from the sponsorship deals and gentrification issues went fairly well, the British government could not do better but put some dirty spin over it.  Dirty because they claim that the games were incidentally so great that they paid for themselves already 12 months after the Games, so far so good, but the figures do not add up and hardly convinced anyone.

 

The question is why they would engaged in such an exercise of spin.  Do they wish to claiming the Games as a project to symbolise the great business credentials of the current coalition government?      Is it because people in Brazil went on the road to protest the costs of the Fifa world cup and the Olympic and Paralympic Games?

 

Was it because now the IOC relationship has ended, most office holders have no ended their posts, and government accounts can claim what they wish?  It is an almost shameful after-party of the games.
